10 Things You Need To Know About The Intelligencia | YTS YIFY

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has a new secret organization to govern its shadowy secrets, as the latest episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law introduces a clandestine group known as Intelligencia. The final moments of the show’s sixth episode implied that this group will have a major impact on the future of the franchise, with Jennifer Walters as their current target.

Intelligencia presents plenty of new avenues for future storytelling in the MCU, even possibly spilling over into exciting titles like Captain America: New World Order and Thunderbolts. With an intriguing history in Marvel Comics, there are a few things that viewers need to know about Intelligencia before the next episode of She-Hulk drops.

Intelligencia’s Founder Is The Leader

In Marvel Comics, Intelligencia is founded by Dr. Samuel Sterns, the supervillain known as the Leader. He gathers the group’s initial members one by one, only recruiting those he believes to be the brightest of their breed, not wishing to share his intelligence with those whom he deemed unworthy.

Intelligencia’s introduction to the MCU comes only weeks after the announcement that Tim Blake Nelson will return as Samuel Sterns after his initial appearance in 2008’s underrated Incredible Hulk film. Set to appear in Captain America: New World Order, it seems more and more likely that the Leader will head Intelligencia, which could very well be the mysterious organization mentioned in the film’s title.

The Purpose Of Sharing Power & Knowledge

Like all other teams comprised of superheroes in the comic book world, Intelligencia was brought together for a very specific purpose as a network exchanging information between villains. Tired of losing fight after fight with the Hulk, the Leader suspected that bringing together the brightest minds in supervillainy could aid their quest for power and knowledge.

Unlike its comic book counterpart, MCU’s Intelligencia seems far less exclusive, with just about anyone able to log onto the online forums. Nevertheless, it does share a similar purpose of sharing information about superheroes as they have done with She-Hulk. It also may prove to be the case that a far more secretive council exists at the very top of the Intelligencia’s ranks.

Their First Quarry

In forming the team, the Leader had a very specific purpose in mind for their first mission. Believing that most people in the world were unworthy of the knowledge stored by the Library of Alexandria, he gathered the other Intelligencia members to plunder the historic site and hoard its information for themselves.

Seeking the contents of the Library, Intelligencia traveled around the world to gather hidden segments kept by other super beings. This quest even led them to steal from the Eternals themselves, who had been keeping a portion of the library’s contents for years.

A Massive Group That Includes Members Like Doctor Doom & M.O.D.O.K.

Intelligencia’s comic book version comprised some of the Marvel Universe’s most powerful supervillains. Led by the Leader, the group consisted of noteworthy names, such as Doctor Doom, the Red Ghost, M.O.D.O.K., the Wizard, Egghead, the Mad Thinker, and more.

While not every member of the group’s original lineup has debuted in the MCU, several of these characters are set to appear in future titles, including M.O.D.O.K., who will have a featured role in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. As the potential lineup for this team grows, fans wonder which MCU villains will make the Intelligencia’s infamously exclusive cut.

Base Of Operations In Latveria

After acquiring its main members, the Leader decided that Intelligencia required a proper base of operations. While several alternate choices were suggested, the group ultimately settled in Latveria, the Eastern European nation ruled by Doctor Doom.

Based on the quick look at the Intelligencia in She-Hulk‘s sixth episode, the group seems to already have a base of operations up and running. While it is unclear where this headquarters is located, it is quite possible that it is indeed in Latveria, especially since the nation is expected to debut in the MCU quite soon, alongside its infamous leader.

Raid On Atlantis And Wakanda

In their quest for ultimate knowledge and power, the Intelligencia took it upon themselves to raid two of the most impregnable nations to ever exist. Seeking the final two portions of the remaining segments of the Library of Alexandria, the Leader and his compatriots successfully infiltrated both the underwater city of Atlantis and the African nation of Wakanda.

The raid on Atlantis and Wakanda was an incredibly impressive feat on Intelligencia’s part, as both nations are famed for their defensive tactics. This could even become a plot point of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, as both nations are confirmed to be featured heavily in the upcoming film.

Betrayed By Doom

Though he was a member of their ranks, Doctor Doom was unsurprisingly disloyal to the other members of Intelligencia. The dictator betrayed the other members of the group after they had obtained all pieces of the Library of Alexandria, waging war on their ranks and expelling them from Latveria.

Doctor Doom is en route to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with many fans wondering who might play the supervillain in the franchise. His intimate history with the Intelligencia could suggest that the covert group will introduce the iconic supervillain to the MCU sooner than expected.

The Team’s Subsequent Expansion

After being defeated by Doctor Doom, the remaining members of Intelligencia scattered but were eventually called back together by M.O.D.O.K., who sought revenge on anyone that had ever wronged them. Seemingly backed by General Ross himself, he gathered several new members of the team, including Red She-Hulk and Lyra.

Intelligencia’s expanded membership seemingly strayed away from the more exclusive nature of its initial lineup, including characters known more for their brawn than their brain. This could similarly expand to the ranks of the MCU’s depiction of the team, making anyone a candidate for its team.

Foiled By The Hulk

Against the Leader’s advice, who was no longer the group’s prime leader after Doctor Doom’s betrayal, M.O.D.O.K. and his companions targeted Bruce Banner. Though they seemed victorious for a brief moment, they accidentally reawakened the Hulk persona within him and caused their own defeat by his hand.

The Hulk ultimately proves to be one of Intelligencia’s greatest adversaries, bringing the group to its knees quite quickly. Hulk’s mysterious departure from Earth in She-Hulk opens up the MCU’s version of the team to achieve its victory without having to worry about the green behemoth’s interference.

Challenged By Ultron

In the wake of the Intelligencia’s defeat at the hands of the Hulk, they rallied for one final stand against the superheroes that sought to capture them. They battled the Avengers until the artificial intelligence, known as Ultron, was reactivated, temporarily disabling them all and leading to the group’s final defeat.

Ultron has been dormant in the MCU since his defeat in Avengers: Age of Ultron. However, rumors have circulated in recent years that the murderous AI will make his return in the near future. The character could be best served as a member of Intelligencia, helping their needs until they have finally gathered all the knowledge they could ever need in order to defeat the Avengers once and for all.
